Fahrenheit - Hershey Park

2 October 2010

David, me

Hershey is a great park I wish we could get to more often.  Friends of ours invited us to the park for their employee picnic day.  There was a rather large group of us there from DC.  It was a great day!

Maverick - Cedar Point

16 October 2010

Adrienne, me, David

I really hate it when ride ops tell me I have to take my glasses off, especially when I've ridden the ride before with no problems.  At least it's a damn fun ride.

Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion

2 April 2011

David, me

Opening day at King's Dominion.  David and I went in 2010 as well when this coaster was new, but we were unable to get a good on-ride photo.  As you can see, it was a pretty chilly day.

Sky Rocket - Kennywood

13 July 2011

Adrienne, me

Kennywood's newest addition to the park - a cute little coaster that kind of reminds me of Maverick at Cedar Point.  The line was fairly long most of the day, so this was our only ride on the coaster.

Phantom's Revenge - Kennywood

13 July 2011

Adrienne, me

This was our FOURTH attempt at getting a decent on-ride photo for this ride. Not that I was complaining about having to ride a coaster multiple times.

Millennium Force - Cedar Point

30 October 2011

Adrienne, David, me

Our annual trip to Cedar Point was the latest it had ever been - we actually went on Halloween weekend.  It was chilly, but not as bad as other years.  This was our very last ride on any coaster for the 2011 season.

Woodstock Express - Dorney Park

28 April 2012

Me, Adrienne

This was my first trip back to Dorney Park since I moved to Maryland.  Adrienne and I spent Opening Day 2012 there.  And of course, we aren't above riding kiddie coasters for the silly picture and the ride credit :)

Verbolten - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

29 September 2012

Me, David

For my birthday (a few months late mind you, but no matter), David "treated" me to a trip Busch Gardens Williamsburg.  This was by far our favorite coaster of the trip.  The first ride was the best because of the "surprise element" (I don't want to give it away if you haven't ridden it yet).  This coaster also had some of the best themeing I've ever seen on a roller coaster.

Griffon - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

29 September 2012

Me, David

Griffon was the first B&M Dive Coaster that I have ever ridden, and it was the first coaster we rode when we got to the park.  I liked the second row the best.  You get "just enough" hang time over the edge, but not the crazy hang time that the front row gets.  Also, if you don't want to get wet, don't sit in the seats closest to the loading side.

Apollo's Chariot - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

29 September 2012

Me, David

I haven't ridden a good B&M Hyper since I moved from Philadelphia and last visited Six Flags Great Adventure.  As much as I love King's Dominion and the parks around DC, none of them have a good B&M Hyper.  Apollo's Chariot reminded me just how much I love these hypers for their smoothness and the ridiculous air time.

Apocalypse - Six Flags America

20 October 2012

Me

Sometimes getting the timing just right for an on-ride photo is a real pain in the butt.  This was my third attempt at trying to get a good photo.  Still not the best, but I wasn't about to ride it again.

Superman: Ride of Steel - Six Flags America

20 October 2012

Me

I always find it odd when a coaster *doesn't* have an on-ride photo - it seems like a pretty easy money-maker for suckers like me.  For the longest time, Superman: ROS didn't have one.  They finally installed one, and of course, I bought it.

Dominator - Kings Dominion

20 April 2013

Adrienne, Me

I liked this coaster so much better when it was located at Geagua Lake.  There was something about part of the coaster being over the water and running through the reeds that made it more exciting.  Regardless - it's still a good ride, and good for a photo to add to the collection.

Volcano: The Blast Coaster - Kings Dominion

20 April 2013

Adrienne, Me

Another coaster that up until recently, didn't have an onride photo.  Volcano is one of my favorites at Kings Dominion, and apparently with everyone else as well because the line and wait for this coaster is always long.

Twister - Knoebel's

5 October 2013

David, Me, Adrienne

Every once in a great while, David decides to be goofy on an on-ride photo.  It's all the more ironic/funny since he's usually the one who votes down buying a photo if he's not completely happy with the picture.  I had no idea he was going to do this pose, and of course, it came out great.  Goofball.
